China Stamps - 2003-24 , Scott 3321 World AIDS Day, MNH, F-VF : AIDS, or acquired immune deficiency syndrome, is an infectious disease caused by virus, resulting in loss of immune response to various diseases and eventually in death of the patient. Ever since the first case was diagnosed in 1981, AIDS has spread across the whole world, seriously threatening the health and lives of the people. To facilitate control and final elimination of AIDS, the World Health Organization designated 1st December each year the "World AIDS DAY".
