China Stamps - 2001-15 , Scott 3128-30 The 21st Universiade, MNH, F-VF : The 21st Universiade was held in Beijing from 22nd August to 1st September 2001. It was the first large-scale, international-level games in the new century and the first of its kind hosted by China. The 21st Universiade had 12 sports and 168 events.About 7000 sportsmen abd sportswomen , and officials from 160 countries and regions participated, representing the largest scale and highest level of the Universiade in its history. They full demonstrated Chinese college students' youthful Vigor, and their love for friendship and peace.
