The Zhenwu Pavilion of the jinglue Platform is located in the People's Park in the eastern part of the Rongxian County seat in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Facing the Xiu Jiang and the sacred land of China's Taoism Dujiaoshan in its front, the pavilion is a secluded and tranquil landscape surrounded by green trees. The ancient pavilion was built in the Tang Dynasty during the reign to Emperors Qianyuan and Dali (753-779AD). It is said to have been built by the Tang poet Yuan Jie when he was an official in Rongguan. The existing pavilion was bulit in 1573 in the Ming Dynasty during the reign of Emperor Wanli. It still attains the Ming style despite many renovations.The jinglue Platform in 50 metres long, 15 metres wide and four metres high. The four sides of the platform are paved with stone and its centre is filled with mud. On the mud is sand with a depth of one metre. The pavilion is made of more than 3,000 pieces of special wood of varying sizes form the southern part of China, They are connected in line with the lever structure without using a single iron object to form an elegant structure. The most wonderful thing is that the legs of the four internal pillars on the second floor which support the heavy load of the floor slab beams, tiles and the supporting pillars of the higher stores suspend in midair, This structure is based on the lever principle, being divided into the upper and lower layers with 18 pieces of wood going through the pillars to form two groups of bucket arch and serve as a lever, with the top of the arch to support the broad eaves outside the platform and the end of the arch support the four suspended the four suspended pillars thus making use of the gravity of the structural members and the balance of the pavilion just like a balance. This is a unique example in China's history of architecture.
