China Stamps - 1992-6 , Scott 2392 20th Anniversary of UNC on Human Environment, MNH, F-VF : The 1st United Nations Conference on Human Environment was held from June 5 to 16,1972 in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. The theme is environmental protection and pollution prevention. In the conference, Human Environment proclamation and 109 suggestions ware passed. The 27th United Nation Assembly made June 5 as the World Environment Day. ????We have only one earth.???? is the permanent theme of the World Environment Day. Now world population has over 50 billion. The fate of the earth attaches great importance to human????s life. So, all the countries shall make joint effort to protect human????s ecological environment. The stamps transmit four theme: protect soil environment; protect water environment; protect air environment; and prevent noise pollution.
